Political Uncertainty:
Singapore & India
My interest in
the application of ‘Physics of Music’ to the ancient Tamil & Sanskrit
texts, led to the amazing discoveries. (http://www.musicresearch.in/categorydetails.php?imgid=137 ; http://veepandi.blogspot.in/2014/04/normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-x-none.html;
http://musictholkappiam.blogspot.in/
; http://musicdrvee.blogspot.in/ )
My other
interest, with the post graduate certificate in ‘Sociological theories’, is the
application of Physics to the Social Dynamics of the Modern world, identifying
the social forces influencing the direction of the current world social history. Some
of the results are posted in http://tamilsdirection.blogspot.in/
In the above
context, a very interesting & promising experiment is going on in
Singapore, whose progress, from its birth on 9 August 1965
as a new independent country plagued with unemployment, corruption, along with the Singapore Dollar valued lower than the Malaysian Ringgit, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Republic_of_Singapore)
to its present status, is a significant pointer to predict the direction of
the resultant forces in the world socio-political-economics. By identifying &
aligning with the growing forces in the world, synchronizing with the
development of corruption free & growth oriented internal system, Singapore’s success is
unique in the modern history.
Did Singapore’s success suggest the following question?
Can the economic and social problems experienced in the Western
developed countries, be traced to the destruction of the self-discipline, and
the heritage-family value system, during the process of the economic
development, along with the ‘heritage-family blind’ human rights development?
Did Singapore’s success suggest the following question?
In fact, PM Modi,
probably sensing it, invited the Deputy PM of Singapore, for the first
'Transforming India' lecture. (‘India's unfulfilled potential largest in world:
Singapore Deputy PM; http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/indias-unfulfilled-potential-largest-in-world-singapore-deputy-pm/articleshow/53872868.cms
)
Probably the
above is just the beginning of the new phase of Singapore, with the increasing contribution to the world peace and
development. Of all the
countries in the world, Singapore has the logistic advantage of constructively interacting
with both India & China, the current two engines of the world economy.
Hence I was
surprised to come across the following question, during a casual conversation
with a friend.
‘In view of
Singapore facing political uncertainty, will it be safe to invest money in
Singapore?’
I sensed that the
above question arose due to the unfounded magnification of the PM succession debate
going on in Singapore.
In fact, I follow
the debate and surprised with the emotion free, responsible debate culminating
in the most assuring direction of the solution.
To the above
question, I responded the following.
Modi, heading the
first 100% non-corrupt Govt, had to complete the unfinished nation building
process, failing which India, faces the worse political uncertainty, with the regional
thug leaders, derailing all the progress, India had achieved, including the
unity of the country.
The person, who
raised the question, agreed with my above observation.
In the above
context, the following posted in my blog http://tamilsdirection.blogspot.in/2016/07/normal-0-false-false-false-en-in-x-none_18.html
;
deserves the
attention.
How Singapore,
the only country that was forced unwillingly to 'gain independence' in world
history, could get rid of the 'unbelievable' corruption, and 'transform' to
become a corruption free, developed country? Also how Singapore consciously
strengthen the 'nation building process'? (http://www.straitstimes.com/politics/singapolitics/changes-to-ep-needed-as-race-still-matters-in-politics-pm-lee
)
Also did the above mentioned Western social disease of ‘‘heritage-family blind’ westernization, infect a section of the Singapore citizens? Did the children of such families, experience academic related difficulties, or/and broken families, fueling frustration in the society? ( ‘Because of the close links between language and identity, if people begin to think of their language as useless, they see their identity as such as well. This leads to social disruption, depression, suicide and drug use, he says.’ http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_8311000/8311069.stm ) Did the question of my friend mentioned above, originate, in the circle of such frustration? How far the measures to patronize the mother-tongue in the education of all the races, the traditional festivals of all the races, & other such measures, combat the above social disease?

The answers will
be valuable to India’s nation building process.
